Labom was founded in 1968 by Walter Labohm. During his tenure, the enterprise evolved from a handcraft-oriented business to renowned experts in digital metrology. In particular, providing individually designed custom solutions is a hallmark of Labom. The instruments are applied to measure and control pressure, fill levels and temperature in a variety of industries – including the sectors food, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and chemicals.

Today Labom has around 180 employees and maintains branches and representatives in over 40 countries. Digitisation, changes to the world of work and the globalization of markets are the challenges that Labom now faces. At the same time the philosophy of a healthy growing family business remains unchanged: Labom attaches importance to preserving the well-proven and combining this with the latest approaches.

Quality and customer satisfaction underpin all the thinking and actions of Labom. The quality management system complies with DIN EN ISO 9001:2015, Pressure Equipment Directive 2014/68/EU and ATEX 2014/34/EU.
